1543 x 1. XK Hub Cap Removal tool. The simple Jaguar Steel hand tool for removing a steel wheel's centre hub cap. When not in use, would be stored in the tool roll. I believe these would normally be in period self colour (or later ones in a dull zinc plate), but we may use Bright Zinc Plate (BZP) as a protective coating. Most tools in these vehicles are in a self colour or hot oil (blacked) finish. They were not there for show.

NOTE : It is not mentioned in the 1950's period XK & Saloon Parts Books, possibly because the wheel brace has a taper end to offer the same facility. Listed in the 1969 Mk2 Jaguar Parts Book as Nave Plate Wrench.
